Both Old Trafford and Trafford Bar stops are less than a 10-minute walk from the Athletes Village, Race Village and Start Area. View the Metrolink network map here.

If you’re staying for the weekend then adult Travelcards are available for only £6.20 for travel from 6.00pm Friday evening to end-of-service on Sunday evening. This will enable you to make an unlimited number of journeys anywhere on the network over the course of the weekend. Travelcards can be purchased from the ticket machines located on all tram stops. For those who are travelling with their family it’s just £8.70 for up to two adults and three children to travel all weekend.

Trams run on a regular basis on all lines meaning there is no need to check a timetable - catching the tram really couldn’t be easier, just be sure to buy a ticket before you board as tickets aren’t available on the trams themselves.
